Take The TourWelcome to the Musical Wonder House, located in Wiscasset, Maine, a quiet 18th Century village on Route One along the coast of Maine. America's unique museum, the internationally famous Musical Wonder House is 'the showplace for mechanical musical instruments', featuring 5000+ restored musical boxes, player grand pianos and organs, spring-wound phonographs, musical birds, porcelains, furniture, clocks, steins, whistlers, and even several musical paintings, restored, demonstrated and displayed in opulent rooms furnished with antiques of the period. This 32-room 1852 sea captain's mansion, complete with 23 antique coin-operated machines surrounding an impressive flying staircase with classical mouldings, is the backdrop for this awe-inspiring musical collection. Joseph M. Villani and Paulo A. Carvalho, Trustees, open the museum to the public in season for guided presentations. Our year-round on-site staff is always available to assist with your repairs, restorations and written appraisals. The museum gift shop, 'The Merry Music Box Shoppe' is also open year round, filled with 23 CD and cassette recordings (all recorded from the Musical Wonder House collection), hundreds of musical boxes, custom cases and movements, Anri, Haffner, Steinbach, Harry Potter, Wizard of OZ, Gone With The Wind, Betty Boop, Irish, ballerina, and other Collectibles and Waterglobes.
